The Eternal Rose

 

 

For Valentine's of yesterday,
for lovers past and gone,
As a symbol of undying love,
the Eternal Rose lives on.

That rose just like the Valentine,
is a tribute of emotion,
A symbol of eternal love,
an object of devotion.

A solitary rose, of deepest wine,
an emblem and love token.
It bathes in golden memories, 
with special words once spoken.

Sweet memories of bygone days,
of first love and of last,
Sweet memories of a Valentine,
of Cupid's work long past.

While lovers celebrate their love,
with cards, gifts and flowers,
The Eternal Rose will represent,
sweet memories of ours.
