Reflections
Sitting by the water's edge, reflecting on the past,
My memories reflecting, a love that could not last,
My reflection in the water, shows my presence in this life,
The reflections of past memories, of when I was your wife.
My reflection in the mirror, shows how the years have flown,
Your reflection in our children, as each of them has grown,
Each of them reflecting a different aspect of your life,
Which makes me realise, I shall forever be your wife.
They reflect your love and kindness, I can even see your face,
When I'm feeling lonely and I feel the empty space,
I can soon find a reflection of the love you left behind
To fill your empty space, which left this sadness in my mind.
