A wedding invitation was included in the album from

Mr & Mrs E BARKER,

requesting the pleasure  of the company of

MR & MRS BLENKINSHIP,

at the marriage of their daughter,

  RUTH BARKER

to

MR. THOMAS HUNTER,

on Saturday 18th November 1943

at

St. Lukes Church, Ousby, Penrith.

The invitation may refer to either of the photographs on this page as both dress codes , appear to be of that era.

Perhaps the invitation was sent to Ada Nicholson (Top Right) and her then husband John Blenkinship.

Named as Blenkinsop in the FreeBMD.

     Perhaps another Clue!

The back of a postcard in the album, to a Mrs M. Wyatt, of The Grove,

Claverham,

Nr. Hatton.

Alb. writes to Margie, Tell Gladys that I am not going to Barrow but  G. is going with Ethel and Hilda.

The Grove, Iver, or Iver Grove

in Buckinghamshire,

   is a Listed Building.
