The Little Jewel Monster

(Katie's Dream}

The little jewel monster, little bigger than a cat,
Was covered in jewels and he wasn't very fat.
He had a belly button diamond and a shiny bald head,
And I am going to eat you, is what that monster said.
He had a mountain of jewels of every shape and kind,
He ate with his dinner, those which were newly mined.
He also likes a frog or two and he eats a lot of ants,
He wears the jewels bodily in the form of monster pants.

He hasn't any eyebrows and diamonds form his nose,
His eyes are made of sapphire, he has jewelled nails on toes.
He said that he would eat my hand to swallow up my ring,
I said that I would bite him back the awful jewelled thing.
I met him in a dream last night, I didn't like him much,
He nearly was a nightmare with a sort of midus touch.
I hope he won't come back again but I'll tell you, if he tries,
Aunt Heather will sell on Ebay the sapphires from his eyes.

She told me not to worry and to catch him if I can,
So I am going to sleep tonight with a jewelled Monster plan.
Aunt Heather will be there with me, I won't be home alone,
She's going to take his jewels away, stone by stone by stone.
First will go, his sapphire eyes and then he won't see me,
Next will go, his diamond nose, then he can't smell or see,
He really can't come back again for she'll take those diamond pants,
And then his jewel mountain but she'll leave those frogs and ants.
