John Langstaffe is shown to have married Margaret Raine on 16th January 1722. The IGI gives Margaret Staine to have married John Langstaffe on that day too!
The Bishop's Transcripts for Romaldkirk, show "Marrigiret Rain," (not Margaret Staine or Mary Raine) married John Langstaffe on that day.
It also appears that Margaret is often referred to as Mary Raine which is probably the reason for this mix up also the fact that the Longstaff's of Pedigree 46 were living in Lartington when John, the son of John Langstaffe and Mary Raine, was baptised. (See Conjectural Pedigree No. 46 )
John Langstaffe, in this pedigree, is the son of William Langstaffe and Mary but John Langstaffe in the Kelton pedigree, is the son of Mathew and Agnes. Agnes mentions her son John, in her will.
