                                                                                Descendants of Mathew Langstaffe

Errors in the Romaldkirk Parish Register, have caused discrepancies in two of the pedigrees. 
Mathew Langstaffe and his wife, Agnes, lead Pedigree No. 43C, Langstaff of Kelton, (Another Branch.) 
Mathew's son, John Langstaff, is shown to be the husband of Mary Raine, married 16 January 1721/22.
The IGI Familysearch website, gives the same date of marriage for Margaret Staine and John Langstaffe. 
Pedigree No. 22, shows John Langstaffe, son of William and Mary Langstaffe, to have married Mary Raine on that date, too.

The Bishops Transcripts for Romaldkirk, show that "Marrigirot" Rain married John Langstaffe, of Kelton, yeoman, 16 January 1721/22.
The children of John Langstaff and Margaret or Mary Raine, are baptised with parent's by the names of of John Langstaff and Margaret.
It also shows John, the illegitimate son of John Langstaffe, of Mickleton, (Pedigree 22) and Mary Raine of Lartington, was baptised November 26, 1750.

7. John3 Langstaffe (John2 Langstaff, Mathew1 Langstaffe) of Lartington, Romaldkirk, Yorkshire, was born circa 1722. In 1766, he was a farmer, of Charity Lands, Bowes, Yorkshire, England. He was buried 02 Feb 1805 at St. Giles Churchyard, Bowes, Yorkshire, England.
He married Christian Sayre, 26 May 1757 in Romaldkirk, Yorkshire, England., the daughter of Thomas Sayer and Mary Jackson. She was born 11 Jun 1736 in East Newhouses, Romaldkirk, Yorkshire, England., and was buried 05 May 1780, at St. Giles Churchyard, Bowes, Yorkshire, England.

She was born circa 1776 and died in Bowes, 08 Sep 1839, aged 63 years. 
James Longstaff was living alone in 1841.
