Contemplate

Look out of your window, leave drapes open wide,

Lay your head on your pillow, let two worlds collide,

The clouds are my bedchamber, the moon my candlelight,

The stars are for you my love, to brighten up each night

Contemplate, remember me, look to the brightest star,

Remember only happiness, I am near and not so far.

I hear your silent whispers, I feel the solitary pain,

Although no word is spoken, I hear you call my name.

Sleep for me my darling, sleep peacefully this night,

Awaken to a golden dawn and blessed daylight.

Contemplate, lie quietly, remember me with love,

Listen for the lullabies of the harps of heaven above.

Dream on my darling, the Lord is by your side.

Let memories invade you, may sweet memories abide.

Close your eyes, sleep now, dream of me my dear,

Slumber on so peacefully there is nought for you to fear,

Contemplate, lie quietly, count blessings two by two,

Sweet dreams my darling, may the Lord watch over you.
